Mister Fox, Ringwood

Mister Fox is nestled at the edge of the Ringwood Golf Club, and looks out onto the expansive rolling greens. Interestingly, the decor is rustic chic, with the predominantly neutral color palette interrupted by dashes of aqua every so often, in the form of chairs or teapots.

Mister Fox hosted us on a weekend afternoon for a bridal shower, and blessed with sunshine, we were able to make use of the outside patio.

Even with our very large group, we were still given the the option of choosing our own drinks and dishes from the menu, and the staff did a good job of making sure we were looked after. We all had a lovely afternoon, and Mister Fox is definitely a cheeky spot that I will remember to keep in my repertoire.

Eden's Backyard

A modern cafe specialising in Asian fusion style brunch dishes, Eden's Backyard is an interesting proposition on this otherwise barren stretch of the road.

The menu features matcha lattes, roast duck quesadillas, and a chicken curry crockpot pie. There are enough Asian elements to make it interesting however the menu isn't exactly trying to win the diversity award of the year.

Most of thew tweaks / substitutions err on the side of caution and do so in ways which would still be recognizable and acceptable to the mainstream palate.

That being said, the food was all quite delicious, the staff were all very attentive, and the decor was absolutely luscious.
